History
The Prime Time Singers were formed in 1984 at Magnolia United Methodist Church under the music direction of Toni Cotturone and the encouragement of the Rev. J. Paul Rowe. Their first rehearsal was held on September 24, 1984. All of the original mmbers of the group were from Magnolia, but it wasn't long before other local churches were represented and their numbers continued to grow. The group has performed to rave reviews at nursing homes, churches, recreational gatherings and fundraisers. Performances have not just been on a local level. The group has also traveled to North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Today, some 31 years later, the group continues...performing around and about the Tidewater area while under the music direction of Randy Maybery. Rehearsals are every Thursday morning. They only take a short 3 month break for the summer.
